The Bamaz

When most people hear the name "The Bamaz," their minds immediately travel to the backwoods of Alabama. Perhaps they imagine hillbillies sitting on a porch with their feet dangling, or a rhythmless honky-tonk country song begins to play incessantly in their heads. Ironically, this description does not even begin to describe the Grammy- nominated producer/songwriter trio, The Bamaz (a.k.a. The Bama Boyz).

Even though The Bamaz have just begun to make their mark in the industry, they have already accomplished so much more than they ever could have imagined. With only five years of professional experience in the music industry, The
Bamaz have worked with some of the world's most renowned artists and companies. Their resume includes production for nationally- and internationally-recognized artists such as Beyonce, Destiny's Child, Mya, Lil Wayne, Mike Jones, Rick Ross, Solange, Trin-I-tee 5:7, George Clinton, Sunshine Anderson, Voltio, and the list goes on.

As avid students of music, The Bamaz have proven that their talent is boundless. Their repertoire consists of various genres, including Electro, Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, Gospel, Soundtracks, and Latin music. The Alabama natives have scored several commercials and films, including The Pink Panther, Roll Bounce, Save the Last Dance 2, The Last Holiday, Bring It On All or Nothing, Chancers (a UK reality series on which they also made appearances), "Home for the Holidays" (a Wal-Mart commercial featuring DC3), "Wow Wow Wuzby" on Nickelodeon, and arncommercial for Ford Motors' Ford Fusion.

The Bamaz have every intention to continue to conquer the inconceivable through their production company, My Turn Entertainment. Because they are so passionate about breaking musical barriers, they have vowed not to become complacent with their success with urban music. The Bamaz's debut mixtape, Meet the Bamaz, allowed listeners to catch a glimpse of the artists' musical vision. Meet the Bamaz, cleverly fuses live musicianship with hard-hitting programmed drums to create a shockingly unique musical experience. The mixtape's attention-demanding hooks and intellectually stimulating lyrics leave the listener with an intense desire to want to Meet the Bamaz.

The Bamaz have recently released a digital EP entitled Socially Awkward, which leans more in an Electro direction. The music unites the once separate worlds of Electro and Urban in a unique blend of House, Hip-Hop, R&B, & Dance to melodically describe an all too familiar "End of the Night" experience in which we can all relate.

Known for their electrifying stage show, the Bamaz have mastered the art of crowd engagement and control. Eddie (turntables, vocoder, bass, vocals), Jesse (guitar, keyboard, vocals), Jonathan (MPC, keyboard, vocals) never allow the party to stop once started. Able to effortlessly and seamlessly switch from DJ'n a party, to performing original songs, to Live-On-the-Spot remixes/mashups in any order without ever stopping the music, the Bamaz are able to rock in any situation in front of any crowd. In an interview Eddie once stated that "Live, we rather be known as DJs that play instruments rather than a band...who in the hell wants to stop a great party to see a band?"
